~ The Lifestyle of Echinoderms ~

Where They LIve: Starfish live in oceans all over the world. They can be found on the rocky bottoms of the sea or floating on the surface. They are mostly found on the rocky bottoms of the oceans. (Starfish)
 
What They Eat: Starfish are carnivorous. They are usually found eating on molluscs, crustaceans, polychaetes, echinoderms, other invertebrates, and sometimes small fish. Some eat other sea animals such as brittle stars, sea urchins, or sand dollars. And some also eat other starfish! (Starfish Ecology)
 
How They Eat: Starfish wrap their arms around the prey and use their tubed feet to stick to it. Then they turn their stomach inside-out of their mouth and press it againist the prey. They usually swallow the prey whole, then begin digesting. (Starfish Ecology)
 
Prey: Starfishes prey include, molluscs, crustaceans, polychaetes, echinoderms, other invertebrates, sometimes small fish, brittle stars, sea urchins, sand dollars, and even other starfish. (Starfish Ecology)
