The Water-Vascular System is an example of a special body part. It is a hydraulically system. The Madreporite brings water from the ocean that leads into a stone canal and then travels through to the ring canal. The water then travels down each radial canal onto the ambulacral groove. Special functions of the water-vascular system are locomotion and food gathering, also respiration and excretion. (Zoology Book)

Tubed Feet are another example of a special body part of echinoderms. Each echinoderm has hundreds to even thousands of tubed feet for movement. They use these tubed feet to move and to stick to their prey while they consume it. (Zoology Book)
